With 902 million average daily users WeChat is China’s number one social media platform and a key influence. To say it’s just a social media platform though is a severe understatement into the full ability of what this platform is capable of, with consumers using it to run their lives to such an extent that it would be impossible to live without it.

Research shows that brands advertising through this channel could potentially upsell via push notifications from their official WeChat account. It is reported that more than 51% of consumers open push notifications and 27% state they have purchased more when they receive these messages.
